Brand, website and product design for Sine

Sine’s experience needed to bridge complex enterprise requirements (safety, compliance, workforce management) with frictionless usability across web and mobile for everyday users — a challenge that required clarity, consistency, and strategic design thinking at every touchpoint.

The focus was on elevating the experience across brand, website, and product to create a more cohesive, usable, and scalable foundation. Over several years, work spanned brand design and management, web design, and UI/UX across platform and mobile experiences, helping evolve Sine from a startup into an enterprise-ready SaaS product. This included building out the Workflows product to enable more flexible, scalable processes, designing accountless experiences that reduced friction and supported seamless user access, and redesigning the billing experience to deliver a clearer, more intuitive end-to-end journey. The mobile app was also reimagined to provide a more intuitive, user-friendly experience, improving usability and consistency across touchpoints.

As the company scaled and entered global markets, this design foundation supported stronger usability, clearer positioning, and greater confidence with enterprise customers. In 2020, Sine was acquired by Honeywell a Fortune 500 technology company, integrated into the platfrom to become a core part of its Honeywell Forge connected buildings suite; a key milestone in Sine’s growth journey.

Challenge

Visualisation & clear strategy

Sine’s experience needed to bridge complex enterprise requirements (safety, compliance, workforce management) with frictionless usability across web and mobile for everyday users — a challenge that required clarity, consistency, and strategic design thinking at every touchpoint.

Approach
A vibrant system for a bold digtial future

A scalable brand system was established to provide clarity and flexibility across marketing, product, and enterprise touchpoints. User-centred interfaces were designed to reduce friction in onboarding, check-in, and compliance workflows. Information architecture and visual hierarchy were refined to make complex functionality intuitive and ensure a consistent and cohesive experience as the product evolved.

Impact

A solid foundation built for growth

These design foundations helped position Sine as an attractive acquisition target for Honeywell, which integrated Sine’s technology and experience into its global enterprise portfolio. Clearer product positioning and a more consistent end-to-end digital experience demonstrate how thoughtful, consistent design can drive long-term product growth, support enterprise readiness, and clearly communicate business value.
